How long will it take for me to get settled?

The removals process itself is really only the first step in moving house, particularly if you’re lived in your previous property for several years. Many new homeowners say it can take months and even years to really move in properly, and the task of unpacking and organizing can seem so overwhelming that you may not feel truly at home for quite a while. Don’t be disheartened, set yourself small goals and work towards them with the support of your friends and family.

It also depends on how you want to organise your house. Some people like to plan the look of their new house before they move in, and so know what they need to buy in advance and can kit our their home relatively quickly. Others like to get a feel for the place before they decorate and customise it. Whichever category you fall into, remember that making a house a home takes time.
